Valleseco' s Ecological Market, known as EcoValles is the first ecological market in the island. It has 10 stands which provide differents products such as dairy or packet products, all of them certified
Two stands sell fruits and vegetables that are produced by local farmers, who have the ecological certificate given by the Canarian Governtment.
Two stands sell non-perishable products, such as wine, oil, pasta, cereals, marmelades, etc.
One stand sells vegetal and animal origin food. There you can find chicken, beef and sheep meat, eggs, cheese, etc, dairy products, vegetal protein products, such as tofu, seitán, cold meat, all produced in Gran Canaria and the archipelago
One stand sells plants growing in an ecological green house, and there you can find seedbeds for vegetables, aromatic plants, fruit trees, seeds , certified for ecological agriculture
One stand sells local handicraft
The visitor can enjoy an outdoors cafetería, which offers a menu made with ecological food, and a bakery, where you can buy freshly made bread and pastries every week end.
Ecological market opens every Friday afternoon from 4 to 9, Saturdays from 10 to 8, and Sunday mornings from 9 to 3.
ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMICAL
Situated in the Valleseco Ecological Market, the Cafetería Terrace opens Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes rolls, sandwichs, cakes and pastries from the bakery situated in the market, hot chocolate with "churros" (only weekends).
For lunch and dinner, you have a choice of different courses for € 7.50. It includes first course, second course, dessert and a drink.You can choose from "jaramagos" stew, "fabada", spinach and carrot croquettes, mushrooms, etc. For special events and celebrations, you can ask for an estimate without compromise.
